Alt-Tab and back prevents inputThe virtual desktop helps (albeit a performance hit and more aliasing) and when trying windowed mode without the v. desktop prevents all inputs except left/right click and treats the cursor as if it is on the center of screen. I have not tried windowed in v. desktop
