#1 how to install

no documentation. What do i need to install for gnu+linux (ubuntu)

See https://github.com/EionRobb/purple-discord#compiling for the dependency list. With the repo cloned and the dependencies installed, it should be a make && sudo make install away.

Authentication is not implemented -- the username you choose when creating the account in pidgin is ignored. The password has to be a valid GroupMe API token.

As for getting an API token, I think it's done somehow in dev.groupme.com; there may be other ways. It's been somewhat of a while since I've used GroupMe (as a user or a developer), so I'm afraid I'm out of touch.
