#12 Consider reuse from obvious goal-parallel project Spacemacs

Spacemacs (and Spacevim, which I just found out about a few days ago) calls layers what I currently call the different init file configurations. I'd probably call these diminished-modes. Or something... layer misses the musical metaphor.

EDIT: Maybe (altered) dominant-mode.

I've looked though most of this project now. I don't particularly need anything specific from Spacemacs, at the moment. Though, I think I should add a reference to it, the gnu manual, and the emacswiki in the readme.

The emacswiki starter kits reference works well enough.
