In this post we are going to talk about Linux containers a.k.a LXD containers available on Ubuntu.
Linux containers are just like ordinary virtual machines, but offer a raw performance of the host and isolation of the container. Think of it like Docker container, but instead of some application, you get a Linux virtual machine isolated within the container! Therefore, you can even run Docker inside of it, if you like.
