- Is there a way in Haskell to get all the Unicode character properties? Not just
- the common ones, but also whitespace and getting values of digits (not just
- ASCII ones) and so on.
- This should be in pure Haskell. No reason to use external bindings for
- something that can be generated from the UCD.
- List of relevant packages in Hackage:
- - [[!hackage base]] - `Data.Char` provides a `generalCategory` function, but
- that's all.
- - [[!hackage unicode-properties]]
- - [[!hackage hxt-charproperties]]
- - [[!hackage charset]]
- In particular, it seems none of these provides the **Basic Type** of a
- character, which is what I need for [[/projects/language-idan]].
