So, today I ran into this error: "Failed to download resource files or network error. Please try again. Code -9909" when trying to log in.
I tried repairing the game files through AAGL, but no luck there. Switching to a different account didn't help either. Also my internet is working fine.
I'm using the 3.8.0 patch, which only blocked the telemetry server.
It was all working perfectly just two days ago...

I booted into Windows (I dual-booted with W11), ran the game in there, and the game then redownloaded the in-game update.
Now the game is running fine on Linux again!
Any idea what to do if this ever happens again? I prefer not to boot into Windows...

@lam Have you yet checked whether all files are readable and writable by your current user, especially the "Persistent" directory? Also ensure that Windows leaves the game's partition in a clean state. E.g. disable fast startup.

The relevant commands are documented in [TROUBLESHOOTING.md](src/master/TROUBLESHOOTING.md#an-error-code-appears)

Now that you mentioned it, it might be because of a permission error. Weirdly, AAGL has write and read access to the game folder, while Wine through explorer.exe can delete files in the game folder; however, it seems it cannot perform any cut and copy operations (nothing happens).
I also changed the Z: drive to the game folder, but explorer.exe still cannot perform any cut and copy operations.

@lam I do not have any further ideas, thus no answer. Did you yet find a solution for this issue? I would like to improve the TROUBLESHOOTING.md document accordingly.
Thank you.
