As title says, the picture captcha is not loading under macOS patches. The captcha shows just a blank white rectangle in place of the captcha.

Checklist

✓ macOS Ventura 13.2.1, Hackintosh

✓ Have followed installation instructions.

✓ Default Apple drivers, with WhateverGreen kext

✓ Have tried the given solutions

Sorry if it's missing a lot of things, I don't know what to put as a lot of the commands are only on Linux and as you can see I'm on a Mac lol

Creating a windowless browser without setting CefSettings.windowless_rendering_enabled may result in reduced performance or runtime errors.

This and the DXVK/Vulkan log messages look correct. It however seems that the dedicated macOS launcher uses a custom MoltenVK build (wiki link). Please reach out to 3Shain about the details of this binary.

Before testing that library, you could make sure that the following captcha domains are reachable within Wine: (e.g. ping within cmd)

api-na.geetest.com
static.geetest.com

There have been various connectivity reports in the past, each with a different obscure solution. Hence you might be best off to try&error.

Using a fresh copy of CrossOver (and a new bottle too, Windows 7 + CoreFonts) yields no difference - and makes the bridge model have weird artifacts on the bottom.

To add onto this, I did see an error about QTWebEngineProcess.exe crashing when using the Genshin launcher, but none when I open the game.

To add more details, my bottle environment is as follows:

CrossOver settings:

✓ DXVK enabled (using vanilla CrossOver binary)

✓ CSMT enabled

✗ Esync disabled

✗ High-res mode disabled

Installed applications:

  • MS Corefonts
  • CrossOver HTML engine
  • Wine Mono
  • msls31
  • Microsoft Rich Edit (2.0 & 4.1)
