The patch for Honkai: Star Rail is in active development.

I managed to bypass the anticheat already, but the game currently refuses to run due to certain features (not related to the AC) being unimplemented in Wine. The patch release may be delayed for an unknown period of time.

@mkrsym1 Thank you for the status update. Are said unimplemented features yet tracked on the WineHQ Bugzilla ( https://bugs.winehq.org/ ) ? The more (popular) applications depend on it, the higher are the chances for implementation.

If Wine exits due to "call to unimplemented function" (or similar), it would be possible to add trivial no-op stub functions to Wine to get around that. However, if an actual implementation is needed, it would take considerably more effort.

Part of the missing features are unlikely to find their way into upstream WINE.

They're related to shared resources, which is currently kinda-sorta-supported-in-dxvk-but-not-really; DXVK when used with Proton does support some of the functionality, but apparently not enough to "fool" Unity 2019.4.

Whereas I am not aware of the exact issue, have you yet looked out for configuration options? Such might be hidden in the registry, Unity assets, Unity command line arguments (lower D3D11 feature level, D3D12, Vulkan?) or the hidden Unity startup menu to select the graphics preset. Although the game might as well ignore such changes, similar to what Genshin (to my knowledge) does with the quality preset.

EDIT: Received the email. Thank you for clarifying.

@Krock thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it seems like an actual implementation might be required. I'm still investigating this matter. I've emailed some clarification to you, I hope you'll read it before answering.
