Hi, has anyone ever encounter error code -9907 while downloading new voicepack?

I just installed new GI, and when I want to download JP voicepack, it returns to error like this (see attached image).

I never encounter this problem before, and my drive still have over 100GBs storage available.

Is it possible to download the voicepack data manually? If yes, is anyone has the link to it maybe?

Does Wine have write access to the following paths?

  • GenshinImpact_Data/Persistent/
  • GenshinImpact_Data/StreamingAssets/
  • GenshinImpact_Data/StreamingAssets/Audio/GeneratedSoundBanks/Windows/

If you are not sure, you can do the following:

  • ls -l (your username, rw permissions)
  • Run notepad.exe and attempt to save a file to those locations (and remove them afterwards)
  • Run chown recursively within GenshinImpact_Data to fix up the permissions

If this is an NTFS partition, check whether the mounting flags are correct.

Yes, voicepacks *.zip archives can be downloaded manually, but there's no specific installation script for that case.

It does. Wine can write to those folder (tested with your method).

Run chown recursively within GenshinImpact_Data to fix up the permissions

Sorry I don't understand...

If Wine can write to those folders, then the permission is ok right?

Below is the permission of GI folder in my home (see attached image), is it good?

I managed to recover some of GI files from my broken drive, and placing JP voicepack in Persistent folder fixed my problem.

Still I think it would be nice if anyone have the link to those voicepacks, so that if someone were encounter the problem like me, they can install it manually...

Yes, at least for the checked directories. It might be possible that Wine is confused about the actual drive size. Check whether removing unused drives from winecfg solves the problem.

As for the voice-over packages - you can find them in the launcher's update information file (JSON).

I don't have 'unused drives' sadly. Nvm, I found the link in the JSON.

I'll just download the packages next time. Thanks!
