#2 Breaks on some devices

Welcome to lets-support-devices-I-dont-ever-plan-on-owning week. Someone just showed me that this can break on an iPad. I'll check to see if either of the upstream projects have a fix or know about it. Otherwise, I can attempt to fix it after I stop by the library next. Also, I might consider refactoring this into pure javascript. That might help if it has to do with some bug in jQuery.
