1. **Rel4tion** is developed and this place is maintained by fr33domlover.
2. Any help, participation, involvement, comments and feedback are very welcome.
3. It is a "non profit" project made for the love of it, and has nothing to do
4. with money, corporations or jobs. There is nothing sophisticated, academic or
5. professional about it. Therefore, in this place everyone can be an equal
6. participant, and every contribution is important and matters as any other.
7. Indeed sometimes people come and ask questions, although at this early stage
8. there is no actual community around the project, since no platform releases
9. have been made yet and there's not much interesting software to play with. But
10. there are already several communication channels. Choose below your favorite
11. one.
12. # Discussion Pages
13. Each page in this wiki can have a discussion sub-page. When browsing the wiki,
14. you can see a "Discussion" tab near the top right corner of the window.
15. Clicking will take you to the discussion page (if it exists) or will let you
16. create it (if doesn't exist yet).
17. Currently it requires creating an account (just username and password, should
18. be quick and simple), but possibly in the near future discussion pages will
19. become open for editing without it, and the accounts may be merged with another
20. server (e.g. Freepost, see below), so making an account there will also allow
21. logging in here.
22. For more info about participating in the wiki, see /access/wiki and
23. /editing.
24. # IRC
25. Freenode channels:
26. - `#rel4tion` (fr33domlover is there 24/7 but may be in "away" status)
27. - `#freepost` - channel of the Freepost community, more info below
28. - `#fsf` - Free Software Foundation channel, you may perhaps find people there
29. who know about this place
30. # Jabber
31. **Rel4tion**'s /access/jabber has several public conference
32. rooms. Federation is supported, so you can participate from any Jabber server.
33. - `community@muc.rel4tion.org` - general discussion
34. - `rel4tion@muc.rel4tion.org` - technical project discussion
35. Relaying between Jabber and IRC is planned, but hasn't been set up yet.
36. # Forums
37. The forums are part of the wiki: /forums.
38. # Mailing Lists
39. See the /access/mailing-lists page.
40. There have been ideas about trying distributed solutions like Syndie, I2PBote,
41. GNUnet and others. But for now there are just the simple regular mailing lists.
42. # Freepost
43. Freepost is a friendly community of people using and making free software, and
44. generally concerned about freedom and privacy. You're welcome to join at
45. <http://freepo.st>, and/or visit the IRC channel mentioned above.
