When I last used a 2 GB VRAM GPU (nVIDIA Pascal), the FPS did drop on filled VRAM but no artifacts were shown. It is difficult to tell whether the artifacts are a hardware/GPU driver/DXVK or Wine issue.

I think it's a dxvk issue, since the author said several times that "it would be difficult to implement sharing resources" in many commits I've found.
Anyways, the two flags is day and night to me, easier to test on Sumeru, the artifacts there are almost instant. Even some minor glitches that occurs on windows is N/A on linux now.

Please reopen this pull request to perform merge operation.
I had success with some issues (the pesky stripes when vram is filled) using those staging flags so I think is worth the tip.
